MGS Commendation Awards
These awards are given to girls in recognition of their achievements in co-curricular activities, service and leadership. Students are of good character and role model our school values, Godliness, Excellence and Love, and the school motto, To Master, To Grow, To Serve. These awards are presented at the school’s Commendation Awards Ceremony.
MGS Outstanding Sportsgirl Award
The MGS Outstanding Sports Girl Award is presented to a Colours recipient with a track record of exceptional performance in national and international sports competitions. She is an exemplary sports girl who is of good character and role models our school values, Godliness, Excellence and Love, and the school motto, To Master, To Grow, To Serve.
Wee Kim Wee Award
The Wee Kim Wee Award is presented to a Secondary Three pupil who has consistently displayed exemplary conduct and embodies our school values and motto since she was in Secondary One. She must also have demonstrated a commitment to academic pursuits and in co-curricular activities, as well as initiative in serving the school and/or the wider community. She is of good character and role models our school values, Godliness, Excellence and Love, and the school motto, To Master, To Grow, To Serve.
Colours/Merit Award
The Colours/Merit Award for Sports is presented in recognition of a pupil’s high standard of performance in sports and games approved by the school.
Distinction/Merit (Achievement) Award
The Distinction/Merit (Achievement) Award for a Club/Society or Performing Arts Group is presented in recognition of a pupil’s achievement in selected competitions equivalent to that of the SYF or higher.
Distinction/Merit (Service) Award
The Distinction/Merit (Service) Award for a Sports, Club/Society or Performing Arts Group is presented in recognition of a pupil’s strong commitment and contribution as a leader to her CCA.
Distinction/Merit Award
The Distinction/Merit Award for a Uniformed Group is presented in recognition of a pupil’s achievement and contribution to her CCA.
Distinction/Merit Award
The Distinction/Merit Award for Student Leadership is presented in recognition of the leadership skills and strengths of a House Leader, Peer Support Leader or Prefect and her contribution to the school.
