Infocomm Club

Coding

The Coding programme is open to pupils from Primary 3 to Primary 5, including pupils who are new to the Infocomm Club.

Through hands-on activities and projects, pupils are introduced to different areas of digital creation, including:

• Virtual Reality (VR) – designing and creating interactive virtual environments

• Augmented Reality (AR) – exploring how digital elements can be integrated with the real world

• Game Creation – developing interactive games while learning basic coding and computational thinking skills

The programme aims to nurture pupils' creativity, logical thinking, problem-solving skills and confidence in using technology.

Robotics

The Robotics programme provides pupils with opportunities to deepen their knowledge and skills in robotics through hands-on design, construction and programming activities.

Pupils learn to build, programme and test robots to complete different tasks and challenges. Through the process, they develop computational thinking, problem-solving, teamwork and perseverance.

The Robotics programme is open to:

• Existing members of the Infocomm Club (Coding and Robotics); and

• Pupils who have prior experience in robotics programmes

Learning, Creating and Innovating with Technology

Through both Coding and Robotics, the Infocomm Club provides a platform for pupils to explore, create and innovate with technology. Pupils are encouraged to experiment with new ideas, collaborate with their peers and apply their digital skills to meaningful projects.

Media Club

Media Club aims to promote critical & creative thinking skills as well as collaborative & communication skills in students through photography and content creation. In Semester 1, students will experiment with a camera's shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings. They will be given opportunities to demonstrate and apply the techniques acquired for different genres of photography. In Semester 2, students will collaborate and produce a short video clip based on a specific theme as a group. They will learn the basic visual storytelling techniques, including storyboarding, shooting & editing (Pre-production, Production & Post-production). Media Club members will be tasked as student photographers during school events and encouraged to participate in the national competition.
