Gymnastics
Find out how the Gymnastics programmes build strength, grace, and teamwork through training and national competitions.
Artistic Gymnastics encompasses mainly training in strength, balance and agility to showcase routines in four events - Beam, Vault, Bar and Floor Exercises. Our gymnasts train twice a week. We follow directives from Singapore Gymnastics for competition routines, under the Women Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) programme. Competitive Gymnastics requires the performance of exercises on various apparatus. It builds the girls’ physical strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, grace and balance. Our committed girls go through a vigorous training schedule to perfect their routines and for fitness conditioning. They are constantly encouraged to strive for excellence and put their best effort into anything they do. May the MGS gymnast always remember to be a beacon of light to others in their journey to become better, stronger and wiser each day!
